What They Told Me logo

What They Told Me documents reports of communication with non-human intelligences received during unusual experiences that many people report having throughout their lives.

We believe these interactions are common to all of us and, regardless of their physical reality, contain important information and are worthy of further research.

We encourage experiencers to share their experiences in our reporting form.

All reports are freely available as part of an open library of case reports.

communication

Our ability to communicate complex thoughts, ideas and emotions, sets us apart from other known life. When it comes to unusual experiences, we consider communicative experiences with non-human entities to be some of the most interesting and important. Researching these experiences can benefit from understanding the intent, content and consequences of communication.

· Intent – the perceived reason for the communication.

· Content – The information communicated; what is said, shown, or implied.

· Consequences – The behavioural, spiritual and other life changes that result from the experience.

Regardless of their place in our physical reality, experiences with non-human intelligences frequently feature interactions that contain communicated information that can lead to very real and profound changes in our lives. Our reporting form aims to collect data that will allow those interested to explore the interaction between experiencer and entity.

Our reports only contain experiences related to communication with perceived non-human entities. There are many excellent researchers and organisations that are focused on sightings of unidentified objects or physical evidence of paranormal phenomena – these events can be life-changing too, but our focus is on communicative cases as some of the most profound phenomena.

BROAD

Our reporting form aims to be comprehensive but broad enough to capture a wide variety of experiences. We do not subscribe to any single theory of origin for non-human entities (e.g. extra-terrestrial, psychological). Case reports should be applicable to various fields of study.

ANONYMOUS

We believe anonymous reporting encourages disclosure by reducing personal risk or ridicule. We often see comments on social media platforms where individuals are comfortable anonymously sharing their experiences (Online Disinhibition Effect).  We want to capture these hidden cases and think every case is highly valuable. Anonymous reporting also puts a focus on the experience rather than the reporting individual. We also recognise the limitations of anonymous reporting.

FREE AND OPEN

By reporting a case, you agree for it to be included in our free and open library of case reports. There are no paywalls or memberships required to view cases. If you would like to support what we do, please head over to buymeacoffee. Any support is greatly appreciated. We may use cases to produce content for social media platforms with a focus on reported communications.

FURTHER INVESTIGATION

We give you the option to be contacted further to explore your case as a featured case – only in this instance will we ever hold your contact details. Featured cases can be anonymised but we ask that enough information is shared to compile a detailed case.

“TRUTH” AND TROLLS

We make no judgements or claims as to the authenticity of reports submitted to this site. Due to our open approach to reporting, we cannot vouch for the authenticity of submitted cases. We endeavour to remove any cases of obvious trolling or highly offensive material. Any cases followed up by our team are classed as "reviewed". We welcome you to make your own research and come to your own conclusions.
